YES! We take care of the data transfer based on your needs. We will transfer key data from your current software directly into Optosys.
YES! Our support team and trainers are at your disposal seven days a week. We're here to assist and answer all your questions. And even if your request falls outside the scope of Optosys, we'll still look into it!
YES! Several updates are offered throughout the year with new features, bug fixes, security patches and equipment connectivity. We'll communicate these updates to you by email and through free webinars, and you can download them when it is convenient for you. All updates are FREE!
It's easy: click on the "Request a Demo" button at the top right of the screen, and one of our trainers will contact you to set up a free software demo. We'll assess your needs and present a quote. The installation is then performed on a scheduled date and is accompanied by a data transfer, system configuration and customized training session.

Software usage

Software updates are at your fingertips via the help menu that also contains an improvements list (Change history).
YES! All updates are completely free.
YES! The Optosys exam allows you to customize, organize and adjust the tests and fields according to your preferences. This will allow you to create a more satisfying doctor/patient interaction all within the considerations of your workflow. You can even have multiple templates for each type of exam.
YES! You can create and customize your referral letters, therapeutical Rx’s and any other document. They will autofill with the EMR data and can be faxed directly from the software. Managing referrals and follow-ups has never been so easy!
YES! Optosys is integrated with most major ophthalmic lens labs and contact lens and frame suppliers across Canada. This integration allows automatic access to updated catalogues based on your preferences (suppliers, brands, materials and coatings). You can also price your products and place your ophthalmic lens and contact lens orders directly through Optosys.
YES! Optosys can directly invoice any provincial government; Nova Scotia (MSI), Quebec (RAMQ), Ontario (OHIP), Manitoba (MSP), Saskatchewan (SaskHealth), Alberta (AHC) and British Columbia (MSP).
YES! This function is available for Optosys users in Ontario.
YES! From Optosys you can email and text your patients. You can email signed prescriptions, and you can fax documents. You can even send out a customized email to multiple patients at once.
You can print scannable QR code labels to help track your inventory and do quick inventory counts. There are many reports available to help you manage your inventory and prevent loss.
A user website is at your disposal with training material and videos to help you get the most out of Optosys.
YES! Optosys is one of the only Canadian software solutions that has a complete integrated booking module. The timeslots made available are managed by you, and the appointments booked on your website appear directly in the Optosys agenda.

System requirements

YES! We ensure that Optosys is always compatible with the latest versions of Windows.
Optosys is designed for Windows environments. While it's not natively compatible with Mac, it can be used on a Mac with a Windows emulator. However, for optimal performance and support, we recommend using Optosys on a Windows system.

High-speed Internet access with download speeds of up to 300 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 50 Mbps are recommended. However, clinics must have a plan that includes a fixed IP address for multi-clinics or online modules such as online booking and automated recalls and confirmations. Optosys follows https protocol, a secure communication network similar to what banks use.

Security, reliability & data access

YES! The software allows you to create security groups and assign users to each section of Optosys.
Your database is stored in your server and belongs to you. It is recommended to set up a backup to a cloud.
YES! Nothing could be simpler! Several options are available based on your mobile needs.
